The Commission is assisting the Australian Transport Safety Bureau’s investigation of an incident involving a Pilatus PC-6 / B2-H4 aircraft.
The reported circumstances were that on 27 September 2025, the aircraft had completed a skydiving drop and was returning to Moruya Airport in New South Wales, Australia. It collided with terrain. The pilot sustained fatal injuries.
The ATSB investigation is continuing. TAIC has opened this inquiry for the purpose of cooperating and coordinating with ATSB, including taking evidence on their behalf under section 8(2)(e) of the Transport Accident Investigation Commission Act 1990. TAIC will not produce a report for this inquiry. All questions should be directed to ATSB.
